You should have your carpets cleaned as soon as you start to see overall soiling remaining after you vacuum. This means vacuuming alone is not removing the embedded soil. This normally will be every 6-12 months.
First and most importantly, all floors will be slippery when wet and especially so when the cleaning agent has been applied and has not yet been extracted. So first, have an area and project or hobby to keep you off the areas to be cleaned for an hour or so while the cleaning is taking place. We ask that you remove any knick-knacks and breakables from coffee tables, end tables, etc. Do not place these items on furniture to be moved. We will not move any furniture containing these items. We also ask all antiques and heirlooms, that cannot be replaced, be removed completely from the cleaning area. We ask that all small items be removed from the floor such as magazines, newspapers, etc.
We move light furniture in the living and dining areas such as chairs, coffee tables, end tables, etc. In bedrooms we normally do visible flooring, so if you can see the carpet, tile or other flooring we clean it, which means most bedroom furniture is not moved. If there are specific items not listed or already discussed, which you would require moving please contact us in advance to discuss further. Some of the items we do not move are: entertainment centers, electronics, china cabinets or hutches, dressers, pianos, pool tables, extremely heavy dining room tables and large sectional sofas or pit groups. We ask that you not move furniture to the middle of the floor, as these will be moved as necessary, after cleaning in front of them.
We ask that you not roll up your area rug. We will want to do a pre-inspection and discuss any areas of concern with you before removing the rug.
You should have your tile and grout cleaned when normal maintenance is still leaving spots and stains in the grout lines or when you notice a build up on the surface of the tile.
We ask that you leave them at least overnight. This will insure your carpets are completely dry before removing them.
There are several things that can be done to assist in the drying process. The technician can advise you of the best ways to help after your carpet cleaning or furniture cleaning.
Please do not move furniture or other items onto the carpeting until it is completely dry. If the carpet is still damp it can cause problems such as bleeding of wood stains, rust from metal objects and dye bleeds from other fabrics.
Sofas, Couches, Sectional Sofas, Pit groups and some chairs will have their cushions left in tent like positions. This was not an oversight. Please leave them in this position until they are dry. They were positioned this way to allow for maximum surface area to dry as quick as possible. They have had the nap set properly and your furniture or upholstery will dry looking its best this way.
Please do not store your rug in the wrapping it has been delivered in unless we have first discussed this with you. It is possible that other steps may be necessary to protect your rug.
